Hey guys (and girls),
I thought I might as well try and make a great first post I guess...
So, yes. As the title suggests, a die hard Iron Maiden fan (me) has found a real contender for the top spot in his mind. Up until the last few days I only had four DT albums (Awake, A Change of Seasons, Systematic Chaos and Images and Words). I loved their music from day one, I don't know whether it was their progressive-ness, or just the fact they were a lot different from what I usually listen to (Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth etc). To put it blunt, they are awesome.
So, I got those albums about a year and a bit ago, I didn't really think about getting anymore until I got into some money. So, what did I do? I spent it on a few more albums, Octavarium, Six Degrees, Falling to Infinity and Black Clouds. I don't think I've heard such epicness since I first began listening to metal as a genre. Basically, I liked what I heard. I suffered a loss in my family recently, and a song from Black Clouds really made me think more positively, and made me think about The Best of Times
Anyway, all in all, the same day as buying these albums I got an email through from Planet Rock mailing list (apparently I listen to it?) saying Dream Theater were touring and I could get into a presale, so, I figured, why not? So, I pestered my mum, made her a sandwich and it was the most expensive sandwich she ever got. £70.80 lighter, I'm going to see the gods in concert!
Well, anyway, thats me. I'm Adam, I'm 18 and I like to drink
Cheers!
