The Donkin Donuts Big and Toasty v Dunkin*
« on: March 03, 2011, 09:08:47 AM »
I finally got around to trying one of these bad boys today. I can now confidently say it is king in the breakfast sandwich category. Yes, even better than the bacon, egg, and cheese Mcgriddle. For thoughs who don't know what it is... the sandwich consists of two giant pieces of buttered texas style toast, three eggs, cheese, and five strips of bacon. It brought a smile to my face.

I saw the commercial and I'm intrigued but you know it's only the breakfast king by default since Burger King stopped making the Enormous Omelet Sandwich.

Im stunned...

do they have a grill at DD? Ive always been disapointed in there sandwichs.

I will need to find out more on this shocking revelation.

at this point in my life, I have declared the McDs Bacon Egg and Cheese Bisquit the reaigning champ.

will my life be changed forever? will all I ever known become obsolete?

Even that would take about 5 years off your life, that sounds amazing!!  You don't get this sort shit in Australia.  :(

I wonder if they make the scramled verson of that.  I see it has egg whites which I'm not a big fan off.

They don't taste like egg whites at all, and the added pepper in them makes them delicioussss.

Sorry but the Dunkin Donuts here in NJ all use microwaves...Microwaved bacon/eggs suck if you dont have a grill or griddle than dont serve food that should be cooked on it...just my 2 cents (by the way thats about all I would pay for microwaved food to begin with)

I had the BK Chaipatta( sp?) sandwish this morning..it was pretty good, I liked the ham, bacon with fresh sliced tomato deal.

I agree with wkiml, in NJ DD is pretty bad and have no ovens, only microwaves..microwave=sucks

If your DD sells hash browns you have that newsuper fast oven that toasts sandwiches.

I don't know, can it beat the McDonalds steak and egg and cheese on a bagel breakfast sandwich?

Also, I'm pretty sure the best breakfast sandwich ever I had a local diner. Called the breakfast burger. It was a sausage patty, two eggs, bacon, hashbrown, and cheese. All on a burger bun. Jesus, it was delicious.

They also have great coffee there.

Sounds similar to what my old roommate and I used to create: two 1/3 lb burger patties, 4-5 slices of cheese, 4 strips of bacon, two eggs, sliced avocado topped with enchilada sauce on a toasted everything bagel. We've combined all that just subbing a can of corn beef hash for the patties in burritos as well.
