This probably also increases the chances of another one-off show US tour, or so we can hope.

News! Good news!  :tup

Well. I wasn't expecting this day until January the 3rd, but it appears to have rocked up early. I've been invited for a spot of dinner with the record company next week up that London to discuss the new album and think of some ideas to really make this one the BIG one. Obviously I'm well up for that. I'm also going to meet my product manager, I've never had a product manager before so I'm looking forward to familiarising myself with this new concept. From my initial chats with Inside Out so far, it appears that they're very keen indeed to get behind this new release which can only be a good thing. I'm certainly keen, put it that way.

After that, I think we're off to see Devin Townsend. Something else I've not done before.

Additionally I've just asked Vitamin P to come up with a new logo for the band. The EIMA era is officially over now so it's time to give the old sow a bit of a makeover. This new look will make it's debut at our Christmas show, most likely in the form of a super duper limited edition T shirt. Perfect for the December weather.

So bizarrely, it appears that we're already underway. I have to say I'm rather excited, but that might just be the caffeine.

Happy New Year!
Keep prog alive - see it live!

So, the fact that he is going to a Devy show opens the possibility to have him in the next album? Is that fair to the rest of the music out there if it happens?

IMHO, Frost* (well, Jem) is the only player in town that could release an album that would absolutely blow everything out of the water.

This news has made me dust off my Frost* albums, all TWO of them, as well as their MAGNIFICENT LIVE ALBUM The Philadelphia Experiment, which is awesome from top to bottom! Probably one of my favorite live albums of the last decade!

Gettin' a bit frosty down here in Michigan. Time for my annual binge.

In other news, I cannot wait for this album. Really hoping a date is announced soon.

So, I remembered today that I hadn't checked out Jem's blog in ages. Seems he took it down?

https://jemgodfrey.blogspot.co.uk/

Am I looking in the wrong spot, or did Frost 3 just slip again?

Huh, so he did apparently. I mean he hadn't updated it since October...

That said, I don't think he dropped it. He just added a video to PlanetFrost a couple weeks ago. And about a week before that:

New blog entry! Jem just posted it not 15 minutes ago on FB!

Basically, the long of the short of it is:

Frost*'s next album will be a double album released in 2 parts (think BBT's EE, a recent example), the first part later this year, the 2nd in Spring '14.
In order to raise money for the making of the CD, they'll be selling a DVD they just made of a performance of several Frost* songs, to be on sale sometime soon I'm sure! (Sounds like The Tangent!)
And last but NOT least, there will be special guests on the album, including Jordan Rudess, who will guest on at least a 10 minute track called "Towerblock", slated for part 2!

GET EXCITED FOLKS... Frost* is gonna make a big comeback with this 2-part double album! I cannot wait!

You know, I ordered Milliontown a month or so ago at my local record store. It's on back-order, so I still haven't got it.  :(
Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

I may have to. Knowing my luck, however, the day I order the CD, it'll show up at the record store and I'll have two copies (not necessarily a bad thing, especially if the album is as good as everyone says it is.)

It is. It's definitely that good. Keep one in the car, and one for the home. That way you'll never be without the epicness of Milliontown!

Awesome news  :tup  Jordan guest appearance  :D :coolio

Although he does say near the end "So that's 2 whole and full fat new Frost albums on the way, the first of which, I hope, will be out this year with the next one in the Spring of '14. Alternatively both will be released in '14" Hope we don't have to wait a year or more for the first part!

Well the very last part is just in case, I assume, things pop up and his schedule gets too messy to finish the album by Summertime for a fall or winter release. I'd assume that Part 1 will see a release between Sept/Dec, with part 2 in March/May of next year.
