yeah i didn't factor the bottom. that was the problem! I have no idea why either. maybe i've been doing math to much today.

It's possible to zone in so much that you forget the slightest of things. Sometimes I need to walk away from doing math just to get back to reality for a moment. It can be too much abstraction over a period of time.
