Well I ordered snowfall.. we'll see how this goes.

I'll pick up more if I like it... as soon as the smoke clears on my checking account. Lots of spending this month on music.

One more vote for Fullness of Time. Their strongest effort IMO.

You can't go wrong with either, but I'll voice my preference for Fullness > Snowfall (by a slim margin).

Snowfall for me as well. I tried The Origins of Ruin in 2007, but I just couldn't get into it. 2 years later, Snowfall instantly clicked, and then shortly after so did Origins. Fullness is also good, as is This Mortal Coil. Hell, every album is great except the debut.

Thanks. What ever happened with that kickstarter DVD?

The last thing officially posted was a video snippet to make sure people were properly credited and their names were correct.  It's behind schedule because of technical stuff.

My ranking would go something like this:

Snowfall on Judgment Day
Fullness of Time
This Mortal Coil
Origins of Ruin
s/t

The self titled is better than most people make it out to be, it's still worth getting.  I think it just gets hate because it's the weakest of a very strong group.

Thanks. I'll check them out as money permits.  They aren't discounted like most discs.. so Snowfall was $12 (I think), but Fullness of Time is 14.99 and so on.  Used they're 8-10 on amazon + 4 shipping just makes more sense to buy them new as money permits. S/T seems out of print. It doesn't have Alder but on one track so I'm not _THAT_ interested in it.

Weirdo.

My ranking:

Snowfall on Judgment Day
This Mortal Coil
The Origins of Ruin
The Fullness of Time
Redemption

The top four are almost perfect albums, but all contain one song I'm not too thrilled about. Those songs being: Parker's Eyes, Bleed Me Dry, Another Day Dies, and Begin Again.

Just listening to This Mortal Coil right now.  This album is so ridiculously good.

I'm so used to us getting a new Redemption album every odd-numbered year that it's almost weird to go through 2013 without one.  :D

Origins Of Ruin is my favorite by far!  For comparative purposes, giving that a 10, I'd give Snowfall and Mortal Coil an 8, fullness of time a 7, and s/t...  It's decent but I haven't listened enough to rank it.

The song stretch of Blind My Eyes, Used to Be, and Fall on You are the main reason for Origins being my favorite.  They are all top ten Redemption songs for me, and they work perfectly back to back to back.

I just wanna say, the song "Perfect" is so incredible.

Also, I'm surprised there's been no dvd updates.

Nick might be neck deep in Star Wars stuff. That is what he does right?

I wish I had the money at the time to contribute to the kickstarter so I could get the top secret updates. I wanted an autographed DVD too.

Yeah, there hasn't been an update from Nick in quite some time, so the Star Wars reason was what i was thinking, too.

I'm glad i was able to contribute (though not as much as i wanted to) to get a signed DVD for my son.

What is the "Star Wars reason"?

he is some kind of exec at Disney.  I know he has been involved in the movie side of things, but beyond that I don't know how he might be specifically involved in the Star Wars franchise.

I'm not sure about that, but being an exec at Disney would certainly constitute several jobs at once.

I remember NVD actually saying that he was involved in some capacity.

LOL.  Well...this is what I do for Disney.  I was one of the senior team on the Lucas acquisition.  So yes, I was very involved.

No Redemption music is planned for future Star Wars films, though.  :)

Serious deja vu. I think I posted this before.
