One of my bands has a video now.

So yea, one of my bands is currently recording a 4 song EP at my apartment. Appearently they filmed and made a video to one of the songs. Check it out, let me know what you think. Be super honest, because I'll probably agree with all of the criticism.

Vocals seemed just a little bit pitchy in a couple spots. Sounds really cool, though.

The vocals need to be a little bit more aggressive. Not "RAWR" exactly but, the lyrics talk about anger and the vocals sound anything but...

Don't get me wrong, she has a nice voice but I just don't care for her approach.

Within 30 seconds, I was hooked! Love it. Reminds me of what my band is going for but with a female vocalist.
All of her harmonized stuff sounds great. The opening verse is a little light, but I'm sure the youtube audio crunching doesn't help.
But I really dig the hell out of it. Let's gig! lol

Seriously? I was actually expecting you guys to hate it.

We recorded four songs, this was the only one that I completely wrote.

Sounds good, and the vocals were well done IMHO. Loved the heaviness with the strings.

It's not my music, it's my bands. I honestly just play drums for them (and on occasions such as this song, write songs for them).

However, I have lots of my own music. In fact I recorded a completely solo CD. I'll upload some songs to myspace and start a thread eventually once I get the balls to show it to people.

The singer could have been more expressive, but that's something that she controls so its not a fatal flaw.   Other than that  :tup
