Found this guy while listening to artists similar to Harmony Bay on Last.FM. Really stood out for his intensity and very off the wall feel. A lot of the bands on that station are crazy, as is Harmony Bay, but this guy is downright insane.

I know it's some pretty out there music, but I figure on a progressive metal forum there's bound to be a few people who appreciate/are interested in this kind of thing. I'd also strongly recommend Harmony Bay if you haven't heard them.

Just gonna give this a quick bump, as I imagine this would probably appeal to someone.

If nothing else happens, eh. Fuck it, I'll let it die.

It's not quite my thing, but there are plenty of avant garde fans here who could make better assessments of this than I could.

It's definitely not for everyone. It also kind of reminds me of Periphery. That might just be me though.

Just giving some of the songs on Myspace a listen right now. Certainly quite odd (which is not a bad thing).

Any album you can recommend?

Unfortunately, he only has two EPs out, Book I and Book III. Both are part of a trilogy. Book I, however, is out of stock. However, in doing a search to see if I could find it somewhere else, I found a download for Book I. So if that's your thing it can be found.

I really hope he can get things back in stock and release Book II. But he doesn't seem to have updated anything in almost a year.

It's really cool stuff, though it could definitely use some better production, especially with these shit ass MIDI instruments.

From what I understand, he's pretty much writing, recording, and producing all on his own. Probably at home.

He also mentions in his little bio or whatever that the midi instruments are intentional and he has no plans to record them with real instruments. I'm honestly not sure why.

I really hope he ends up getting picked up by a bigger label or something. Really starts getting some music out there. He's obviously very talented, it's a pity he doesn't get much of a chance to record/produce/release much material.
