Wrestling was the only thing I cared about from age 5-10  :lol. Rob Van Dam will ALWAYS be my idol. Mr. Monday Night,  The Whole Fuckin' Show. I used to watch old ECW videos of Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, and Jerry Lynn. Best stuff ever. I remember the un-masking of Kane and as a 6 year old, it scared the shit out of me  :lol

Does anyone remember The Ministry Of Darkness? Coolest members ever, up there with Evolution and The Four Horseman as the top stables.

Sabu was such a horrible wrestler!! Botches in bunches.

EDIT: Is there any worst looking belt than those new WWE Tag Team Titles?!?!
Joe and I in the same squad is basically the virtual equivalent of us plowing a rape van through an elementary school playground at recess.

The ministry, that was right about when I stopped watching.  Wasn't the counter group the Union?

1.- Yes sabu was a botchfest
2.- the WWE championship

I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

Hahaha yes!  That was amazing!!  My all time favourite interviewee was Jake the Snake, that guy had class.

Haha, I wouldn't say he had class, but he was one of the best ever at promos, and very few have ever matched him as far as ring psychology goes.

Oh, and I started watching wrestling around 97 or 98 with WCW. It was when Goldberg first debuted. He quickly became my favorite wrestler. After they made him lose his streak, he was kind of done. He still kicked ass, but they started making him lose in ridiculous ways and just wasn't used properly anymore. I liked the unstoppable force gimmick. It got worse when he turned heal and joined The New Blood with Bischoff. Goldberg CAN NOT play a bad guy in wrestling. He was decent in WWE, but again, Vince handled him very poorly and soon he faded away... Is he still doing reality shows?

Goldberg sucked and was a hack.  A big musclehead who didn't give a crap about the business and was unsafe in the ring.  He is the tool who kicked Bret Hart in the head, which eventually led to Hart having to retire.

CM Punk was my dude when I was into it.
CM Punk is great!
CM punk is a pansy.  I weigh like 80 pounds and I'm bigger than that guy.

Undertaker is the best them.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. CM Punk fucking kills it on the mic, especially as a heel. The Straight Edge Society could have been a great stable.

I didn't see much of the SES, since I don't really watch Smackdown, but as the new leader of Nexus I'm loving it!

Did anyone here see the documentary on the sport done a couple of years back.  Very powerful and moving, can't remember the name of it right now, gonna go look.

EDIT: Beyond the Mat  Any fan or former fan of the sport needs to see this one.

I actually own the DVD..the interviews/story line with Terry Funk,Mick Foley and Jake Roberts are a 'sobering look' behind the scenes.

Even the discussion with New Jack after his assault charges (attempted Murder??)  for blading a guy so severely in the ring, when the guy wouldn't sell his moves.

So out of curiosity, does anybody have any idea who the Von Erichs were, or have they faded from history?  Kinda curious how broad their notoriety was and if they had any long-lasting influence.
Aren't they all dead?

At any rate, their influence beyond the borders of Texas was neglibible at best.  Their claim to fame was Ric Flair dropping the NWA title to Kerry Von Erich at the Parade of Champions in 1984, only to claim it back again less than a month later in Japan.  IIRC, that was done as a favor to Fritz Von Erich.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I was catching up with what happened in WWE from 2008 to 2010 and I remembered someone who almost killed the WWE to me:

Bobby Lashley

Worst powerhouse ever.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

As much as everyone talks shit about Goldberg, no one will ever top him as a powerhouse. I didn't see much of Lashley, but Brock Lesnar was definitely the worst offender when it came to botching moves and whatnot.
