Not into wrestling myself but my brother is a huge fan and he asked me to order the pay per view.

In Australia was just under $40, how much do you guys pay in America?

$54.99. I believe the exchange rate works out to about nine Bloomin' Onions.

Setting a match a year in advance? :lol  Yet another middle finger from Vince McMahon to the fans.  "We'll give you what you want, but you're gonna wait a year for it."

Also, I found WM from the other night online pretty easily, and Punk/Orton was the best match.  The crowd was absolutely dead for Cena/Miz, and Undertaker/HHH didn't live up to the hype.  Boring match that saw one or both guys lying there hurt for most of the match.

I'm just gonna treat this as the DTF wrestling thread. So... Edge retired tonight, and it's got me pretty bummed out. Currently acquiring Wrestlemania 16 and 17 to rewatch some of those legendary TLC matches he was a part of.

"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. ;_; I has a sad.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

At first I thought it was some storyline, until he completely broke kayfabe and talked about The Brood.

Looks like it's still pretty fucked up, he said something about the WWE making him take more test and they coming back with not so good result. I remember he broke it in '03 or '04 and was out for a while.

I know, it's kind of sad.
The Christian heel turn never came to life... I would have loved an Edge vs Christian match for the title.

Was wondering why the Heavyweight title match was first. I wish him well. I think my favorite Edge memory will always be the Live Sex segment with Lita  :tup

I'm kidding of course. That guy had an amazing career. Hard to believe he was in the WWE for nearly 20 years. Hopefully he'll come back for some backstage segments.

Pro wrestling is like the mafia: Just when you thought you were out, they keep on pulling you back in. Just look at the Million Dollar Man. I remember reading in interviews from years ago about how he'd never appear on WWE TV again for religious reasons. Now, how many times has he been on Raw in the last year and a half?

Here's indie for you: my brother is good friends with people who run a local promotion.  It is seen by tens of people every month or so.

Haha.

My bassist is friends with people in a local wrestling federation here in Chicago, apparently it's pretty big too. I was told that we were asked to play at what is meant to be "their" wrestlemania. I was like ehhhhhh, until I found out that Brett Hart and Mick Foley would have been in attendance. Then I was all for it. But are we going to play it? No. Why? Because our bassists cover band (a cover band) has a gig that night.

Punk should have gone over (though with rumors that he might be taking time off, I guess I understand him not getting pushed), Rhodes should have gone over, and I would have liked to have seen Miz hold on to the belt. Also, even though I enjoy having a a heel announcer in Cole, this in ring nonsense with him and the others needs to end :lol

Anyone here follow TNA?

I thought last night's show was great...Bring back Chris "wildcat" Harris to team with Matt Hardy against Beer Money, revealing Chyna as Kurt Angle's mystery partner..Mick Foley being the "network" representative who has been making Immortal's life miserable.

Just wish this was live rather than taped 2-3 weeks in advance, sometimes you just can't help finding out the spoilers when its taped that far in advance

In probably my only high-horse decision in recent memory, I've stopped following TNA in light of several atrocious PPVs and business practices. If I want an alternative to WWE (And I usually do) I'll give my money to companies like ROH, DGUSA or Evolve who earn it.

I refuse to order any pay-per-views from any of the companies, as it seems you never get any bang for your buck...ROH is a promotion I've been looking to get into, but my cable company doesn't carry the station they are on. DGUSA from what I have seen on the web is something I would watch on a normal basis...never heard of Evolve have to check it out
