Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I admittedly didn't watch the WWF that much during the Attitude Era, but watching those clips was pretty awesome.  And seeing him cut a promo like that really shows how weak most of the WWE's top stars right now are at cutting them.

Yep I was like:  :hefdaddy :hefdaddy :hefdaddy all the time.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

I wanted so badly to find an example to disprove you (Just because) but what you say is so truthful, I'm gonna call it gospel, copy it down endlessly, declare holy the name of Dwayne and have a motherfuckig schism with anyone who dares suggest differently.

I haven't watched wrestling since WWF with The Rock. I'm still not a fan, but I caught that on youtube. Pure fucking awesome. Also, I had a conversation with my mom the other day about wrestling:

Mom: That stuff's so fake.
Me: Well, yeah, everyone knows that.
Mom: Then why do they watch it?
Me: It's like a soap opera for guys.
Mom: Huh, I never thought of it that way.
Listen! Do you smell something?

Ric Flair was arguably better (in his prime back in the 80s).  And if not, it is close enough to where you can't say either was clearly better.

My feelings exactly. Haven't watched any WWE in at least 5-6 years. I almost wish I didn't know who was coming out, the excitement would have been 100x as great. The great thing about The Rock is that his shoots/promos almost seem to get stronger as he goes on, whereas most people can overstay their welcome. When he got to Cena's [whiney voice]You can't see me[/whiney voice] I fell out of my chair laughing.

I thought it was neat when he addressed the fans as Dwayne. Is he really back for good, as he said?

And goddamn Vicki Guerrero(?) go the f*** away.

I very much doubt that he's gonna appear regularly after Wrestlemania, or that he's gonna wrestle again, but maybe he'll rock bottom someone on 'Mania.

But oh would I pay copious amounts of money to see just one more Austin/Rock match!!

Well he did say he's back and he isn't leaving again didn't he? Maybe he realized he's not getting anywhere in hollywood and started missin' the sport again. If I was him I would have just fired my manager as he was taking the Hogan movie route. His first few movies were entertaining even if they were generic action. Infinitely better than anything Tooth Fairy related. ''hey let's get another wrestler in a tutu!''

Yes, but then he has Fast Five that's being released on April so you know he's gonna be on that promotion tour. And there's also the Journey to the Center of the Earth sequel he's doing...

I wouldn't say he isn't getting anywhere in Hollywood.  He's dependable, and has forged a real career for himself.  More power to him.

And yeah, the only one I can think of in the Rock's league as far as promos was Ric Flair.  Of course, he was the best at everything wrestling-related.

Wrestling Observer has the almost confirmed Mania card
- Miz vs Cena
- HHH/Taker w/HBK as ref
- Edge vs Del Rio
- Orton vs Punk w/ Ryan in Punk's corner
- Morrison. Trish & Kelly Kelly vs. Dolph, Layla & McCool
- Barrett, Jackson, Slater & Gabriel vs. Show, Kane, Kofi & Christian
- Mysterio vs. Rhodes (possibly with Dusty)
- Lawler vs. Cole w/Swagger and Austin as Ref
- Bryan w/Gail vs. Sheamus w/Bellas

NO MITB

Well, it looks really, REALLY bad.

I'll probably order wrestlemania just to see Undertaker/HHH
