Am I the only one who follows it?

I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

I do it even if I know it's fake... Or well, I did it back then when I was like 14 until I was 16. I now pay very little attention to it, because it's fakeness it's so obvious it's not even funny at some times. I mean, those punches suck.

Thats nice, you are an adult know. I follow it since I was like 4 years old my dad used to take me to wrestling matches since I was that age.

Exactly I know it's fake and I still watch it from time to time now.

I have been to one live match and one that is part of the touring matches. I used to love it, but like many others feel, the fakeness is too fake. I mean, the storylines contradict each other and if you were watching long enough, none of them made sense because they were so wishy washy.

The one live show that I went to was actually quite "important" for its time. Any of you remember when Evolution put 100,000 dollars on Goldberg's head and Batista "broke" his ankle. I was there.

OH GOD, yeah I remember that.
Now I actually change the channel during the talk part and change it back during the actual fight.  :lol

Tonight WWE presented the Royal Rumble. My friends and I play a drinking game to it. The rules are as follows:

Take 1 drink every time someone enters the match
Take one drink every time someone is thrown over the top rope, but lands on the apron
Take 2 drinks every time someone is thrown over the top rope, but only one foot touches the ground
Take 3 drinks for every elimination
Take a socialable every time something unusually cool happens

In addition, before the match every person present picks who they think will win. Their entrance number, 1 through 40, determines how many drinks the person has; first entrant is worth 40 drinks, last is worth 1. When they're eliminated, whoever picked them takes however many drinks they're worth. If they win, they give out that many drinks.

I picked CM Punk this year. He entered first. I am posting this from my friends' house while I sober up before I drive home.

I gotta say, I love pro wrestling. It's not even a guilty pleasure, I freely admit it. I usually follow the independent Feds because they treat it more seriously, but I'll still watch the big events of WWE (TNA is dead to me).

All in all, the total came out to over 200 drinks in a little over an hour. Kessler's n' Coke. Am I still lucid?

Why would you watch porn when you have a wife?

One is real, messy and occasionally boring. One is idealized and fake but only presents the exciting parts. Watching UFC is fine, bu sometimes I just want to see a motherfucking moonsault.

I used to love wrestling, back in the Monday Night War days and the 5 years after it... but now that the WWE has reverted to PG content and seem so intent in making Cena the new Stone Cold (in terms of single-handedly putting the company on his back, when I just don't see nothing that is that good about him) have turned me off. I mean, they're so PG that I've seen matches being stopped because one of the wrestler was cut and started bleeding and they don't wanna show blood on TV, they brought EMT's in so they could stop the bleeding then the match continue!!!!
Joe and I in the same squad is basically the virtual equivalent of us plowing a rape van through an elementary school playground at recess.

Funny how little things have changed.  This would have been probably 30 years ago,  back when I watched it.  Reading up on some of those goings on and it sounds exactly like the same nonsense nowadays.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

Oh god this, I slowly stopped watching it since Eddie Guerrero died, Kurt Angle left, Rob Van Dam left and when Cena got on the main events, the WWE still has some awesome Wrestlers but Cena just pisses me off.

Same here! I was like "Maybe I'll start watching TNA" but then TNA became just like the WWE and keeps picking up every wrestler that is released from the WWE.

I mean, Bischoff and Hogan are in there doing the nWo angle (without using that name) for like the one millionth time!!

Do you remember him from even before that? He use to wear powder blue shorts and had like a "man-desperately-trying-to-prove-himself" gimmick, he was still annoying.

That is why I stopped watching. Nothing new.

But I remember the first elimination chamber match...I thought I found god.
