Works for me.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Listening to Blackfield right now.  I just started it, but Open Mind is a great song.  Looking forward to hearing the rest

It's funny because when it comes to Open Mind, I've always thought that it's a good song, but I still find it to be the 'weakest' on their first album.
Most people would disagree with me, but I can take that. :P

Got the album off iTunes last night, it has some good songs (Far Away, Glass House, Rising of The Tide) but as a whole I think it's their weakest yet. I've only given it a couple of listens so far though so it might grow on me over time.

I've listened through once or twice but got stuck on 'Blood' and ended up repeating that over and over again... not sure if it's as good as the last two albums but they tend to be growers for me anywho. Nice heavy 7/8/9/8 rockin bit at the end of Zigota threw me pleasantly.

Seeing them for the first time in London on April 8th... sooooooo very excited!!! This year is gonna be an epic conveyor belt of getting into one new album after another (Blackfield, dredg, Symphony X, Dream Theater, SW double solo album)... I'm salaviating at the prospect.

Officially it's released tomorrow, not sure whether many shops will have stock in immediately though.

Musically, Go To Hell is one of the best on the album. But lyrically, it is ridiculous.

Overall it is a very solid album.
Jesus Christ himself* comes down amidst a choir of 2 billion angels singing Handel's Hallelujah chorus. As KrotchRaut shred randomly on guitars made of dragon bones using picks made from God's kidney stones, Jesus heals a blind woman who promptly gives birth onstage to a creation of pure light.

*Yes, Jesus Christ himself. Nothing less will do.

The most important question, how many songs does SW sing lead on? From what I've read, Aviv's role in this album was much greater, so I was wondering if he is more prominent vocally as well?
I hope not...

Doesn't aviv normally write most of the material? Can't remember how many songs SW doesn't lead, possibly 3.
My favourite on the album so far is Oxygen, an aviv led one.

The first album seemed to be a pretty much 50/50 work. Aviv did most of the songs on BF2, but SW also wrote about 3 I think. However, I heard the only song SW wrote on the new album is Waving, and the rest were written by Aviv.

Personally I think it's great to see Aviv write some more, even though I love SW, Aviv has still written most of the really good Blackfield-songs, so it's kinda cool to see him write some more.
Plus, SW writes so much for other projects, it isn't really needed that he writes a lot for BF as well.

Once and My Gift of Silence are far and away their top two IMO, and I was under the impression that they were both SW's. To be honest, I'd much prefer Blackfield being a SW solo project focused on the warm pop sound, that it has anyway. His songs are teh best them.

Songs like Blackfield, Epidemic, End of the World and Pain are simply epic. Classic tracks.

On the Plane, Oxygen and Rising of the Tide seem to be their next generation of epics IMO. I haven't heard all the songs yet though.

Haven't heard the new yet, but out of the first two I'd say the first album is easily better for me.
It has Scars, Lullaby, Summer and Hello, which are probably my top4 BF-songs. (not sure about the order though)

Listened to the new one yesterday and I must say I enjoyed it. Not as amazing as the first two, but still pretty great.

Blood best so far, Go To Hell is a bit silly and teen angsty coming from a middle aged guy but musically it is delicious. Pain is by far the best Blackfield track in existence.

I can't believe that it's supposed to be taken seriously, but it gives me a chuckle everytime it comes on.
Waving best so far

What makes you think you'll get it tomorrow?  :lol Aren't you in the US? I doubt we'll get ours for awhile... burningshed is VERY slow delivering to America. Takes 2 weeks usually.

It started off kinda slow, but definitely picked up in the second half. Blood, Oxygen, and DNA were the big highlights for me on the first listen.

After 2 listens i'd say highlights for me are

Oxygen, Rising of the Tide, Waving..

I doubt Blackfield (the song) will be beaten as my favourite.

Going through my first listen this morning!

First day back to school from spring break, just relaxing. Track five, "Far Away" just ended. So far, I've really, really loved all the songs except "Go To Hell," which I actually don't like. Unfortunately.

Excited for the rest especially based on what others have said!

Oh, "Dissolving With The Night" is nice too!

EDIT: Blood is super intense so far. Awesome!
