It's making me sad to see so many people ranking ESPaG so low, it's easily my favorite FF-album. :/

I don't get that either, but to each his own.

Have all 6 of their albums, huge fan. TCATS is my favorite, amazing record. I saw them on the last tour when they did the arena run and it was seriously one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen.

I'm really looking forward to the new album, all I know is that it's gonna be heavy, screamy, and loud, and that it was recorded in Dave's garage on analog tape. Should be good!!!  :metal

I just bought tickets to their Stockholm show in June. Me, my girlfriend and a couple of friends are going to go. I've never seen them, nor heard that much material. So I'm going to buy myself my first album. Which one should I start with? Which one is the "classic" Foo Fighers-album?

Color and the Shape.  And I have seen them live, IMO they were horrible.

The Colour and the Shape, without a doubt.  It is solid the whole way through, and has three Foo classics that you are guaranteed to see them play - "Everlong," "My Hero" and "Monkey Wrench."

I saw them a few years back and they put on a great show.  We all had a blast at it. :metal

:lol That video is amazing. Love the Separate Ways references.

From the stuff I've heard so far, this has potential to be a very interesting album.

If only they had rakes in their hands as guitars.  That was too funny.

Looking forward to the new album. I just hope it doesn't run out of steam halfway through like ESP&G. From what I've heard so far, I don't think it will be a problem.

Look's like David's kind of lost it!   :lol

FRESH POTS!

Their new song is much awesomer than I expected though, I hope they make an album like it.

My sources tell me the rest of the album is gonna be slow and jazzy, with lots of pianos, a la Steely Dan.

on UsedBin radio a week or 2 ago, they mentioned/quoted Grohl about the new album being very Rush-influenced. I'm no fan of Dave Grohl's nor The Foo Fighters (nor Nirvana for that matter), but I know about Geddy and Alex joining them onstage a few years ago in Toronto. And given that quote, assuming it is true, I'm a little curious how this new album may sound.

I hope not. That'd get old in about three tracks.

It's probably a one-off, just like Weenie-Beanie was on the debut album.

Well, they did say it was going to be a heavier album. I just hope they don't force the louder songs just to make a whole album like that.

Well, it's definitely not one of the Foo's best songs or anything, but as a one-off, I like it. It's fun, and just has a lot of energy to it.
