Who would bother touching up a Winter Rose bootleg? :lol

not that they aren't great, but I imagine this was barely unearthed and wasn't proliferated wide enough as it is

His voice wasn't perfect live even in the early days BUT...I'm sure he wasn't doing Winter Rose shows back to back to back and that makes a BIG difference.

Yes good point about the not back to back. That's what I was thinking too. But I also thought this was maybe something they released somehow. It really is quite amazing of a vocal performance.

This exactly.  That's real.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Too bad there aren't any Winter Rose covers of early Queensryche or Judas.

I think it's cool that Richard Chycki also was a member of Winter Rose.

As cheesy as Winter Rose is, I can't help but enjoy the band.

I'm just gonna leave this here:

(I have a blog I used to keep updated with cool DT pictures and gifs here)

Woa really cool, thanks!

Someone stated in a comment under that YouTube vid that James' voice fits better to the kind of music of Winter Rose..
I kinda disagree, because the DT music brought the more cool and dark/evil side of his voice to the light (lol). Besides, the more soft and emotional side which sounds really good these years.

Opinions?

Are we sure that this is actually completely live and not touched up? In a lot of the early DT recordings, as amazing as he sounded, he did crack a fair amount live.

Considering that Winter Rose was never a hit band, I don't think they would've bothered shelling out the money on touching things up, especially considering that this wasn't from any officially released live album or anything.

I think his voice at the time suited that kind of music perfectly, but unfortunately there wasn't much of that kind of music by the time he was releasing albums with DT anyway.
And JLB's vocals on the bridge Never Let Me Go are about the most badass thing he's ever done. Ever.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Am I the only one who thinks I'm listening to Tony Harnell at times, especially the high-pitched vocals?
