Erotomania string skipping section on guitar
« on: June 09, 2009, 07:06:31 PM »
I've seen the timing on the Erotomania string skipping section written out a million different ways, most have this crazy alternating combination of 16th notes and dotted 32nd notes.  The way I've always heard it is consistent 5-tuplets, except they seem to bleed over the beginning and ends of measures.  Has anyone actually taken the time to properly comprehend the timing on this section?  I want to be able to practice it at a slower tempo, but I would actually need an accurate understanding of the timing, not just something vaguely close when going 1000mph.  Thanks!

I've always heard it as quintuplets (5) and the tab I used to learn it said it was this as well. That's how I play it, so I'd say it's right.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?
LOOK AT THIS AWESOME SHIT AHHHHHH
