i am just not too into thrice's earlier more post-hardcore-y stuff, lol. i did not like the artist in the ambulance much at all.

I'm a huge fan of Vheissu, it's probably my second favorite album of theirs. Of Dust and Nations and Stand and Feel Your Worth are two of their best songs in my opinion. If I made a list of my top 10 favorite Thrice songs, they'd both be on it

I'll give one for now: there's an album from the late 60's and one from the mid 70's that haven't been guessed yet, and they're not prog.

Beggars is a solid album, but it would probably land outside of my top 5 favorite Thrice albums.

By the way, I went back and added hints to the remaining albums. I have a feeling one of them may be tough because I've never seen the band mentioned on this forum, so I'll add more hints if needed.

Are you not even familiar with any of them though? I tried to throw some diversity in there and not add anything too obscure, just so a good amount of people would be able to participate.

There is quite a difference between this and the previous. This is much more varied in contet and has more generally known albums in it.

I only own two of the albums but recognise them all....
Last one I had none and did not recognise any.

the "much more generally known" comment isn't necessarily true imo because that's just your perspective

a lot of people had no trouble picking out some of the albums in my board & that was intentionally the harder one too (i did an easier one a few weeks back & the entire thing got guessed in a day

Pick any name from yours and ask 100 random people if they have heard of that group.
Take for instance AudioSlave from this one and ask the same 100 random people if they have heard of them.

yeah, but this isn't the audioslave fan forums. obviously if this was some pop board and we were playing this game i wouldn't be posting the same board of album covers because there's zero chance anyone would know any of those bands.

You're underestimating what the regulars of this section listen to or what they're aware of at least. I didn't recognize many covers from Parama's second set, but once they were guessed I recognized quite a few bands. Cult of Luna's "Somewhere Along the Highway" is a classic post-metal album, for example.

Which is why I keep coming back! Being open minded, to all the music people on this forum listen to, has led me to discover new bands and get into genres I never really liked before
