Really good stuff! I've listened to it about 4 times in full so far, and it's definitely one of the best albums of the year. This band has tons of potential.

On first listen, it's well done, the band has loads of talent, but there are occasions when my attention wanders. Every song is just a little too long-a little tightening up wouldn't have hurt-but given that this is a debut, the sky's the limit for this band.

Yeah I agree with you on that.

As far as the re-recordings go for the original 3 EP songs, they've improved in some areas, but there are moments where the violins and vocals seem quieter this time round. Don't know if that's just me.
Pain is temporary. Pride is forever.

Really great album. Only spinned it twice so far, but seeing as it's over 70 minutes long, it need more listens before I can properly judge it. But I'm liking it.  :tup

Yeah, as I keep listening it just gets better. Lots of minuscule stuff to appreciate.

I'm not normally all that into bands that use black metal vocals (Agalloch being the only exception), but this certainly sounds interesting. With all the overwhelming praise around here, I definitely feel compelled to check this album out a bit more.

I honestly can't choose what is my favorite album of the year is, Portal of I or Epicloud.

As I've said before, I will say it again. Portal of I is my favorite debut album ever. It is pure perfection all the way through. And theyw ill only get better from here.

I saw them play Sydney a few months back and they were very impressive.
At the time, the album didn't quite click, but after seeing them in the flesh, it all made perfect sense.

The cover art on the first album is perhaps my favorite of any album. Ever. This one is cool too.

I'm really looking forward to this album, as well as the impending world tour for which they've been raising money through fan donations over the past few months.

I remember liking the debut even if I haven't heard it since the month it came out, and I don't remember anything about it, but I'm excited for a new album.

Just checking out a track from these guys now from Lowdz pimping them in the what album thread.

Really fucking good.  So much Opeth influence, really great stuff.  Plus I gotta support my Aussie boys.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

I actually don't hear any Opeth at all.
Looking forward to the new album and 2 EP's from the pledge campaign that I put $160 for.
