I have the Nintendo Wii, and a PS2 or whatever. Volk let me borrow his PS3 and he has the Xbox, but the only game I'm really excited for atm the new LoZ game next year. :caffeine:

But yeah, like mentioned. I loved the old games but blowing them got really old. JUST PLAY MY GAME DAMMIT.

The 64 was the last gaming system I owned.  Pretty much lost interest after that, don't know why.

I'll quote what I posted in the video games thread:

The past month has been awesome for the Wii. Kirby: Epic Yarn, Goldeneye, Sonic Colours, Epic Mickey and Donkey Kong Country Returns.

This only adds to the awesome titles that are already out. Too bad all the 'cool' kids are playing Call of Duty 7.

We need a new F-Zero, Voxyn. Think we'll get one for the 3DS?

I'd love a new F-Zero, but what we really need is a new Star Fox for the Wii that has no ground missions. And preferably no submarine/landmaster missions either. All arwing, all the time. Damn that would be amazing.

I'd prefer a new F-Zero but that also sounds awesome.

F-Zero would be amazing if they used the wii wheel for that.

I never played the second one. :-\ I do remember how awesome the first one was though. Only complaint was the amount of dialogue, but I guess that just comes with every RPG.

God, I hope not. You need to be pretty precise for F-zero and the wheel is pretty meh for accuracy.

Really? I've never had any trouble with the wii wheel. I guess it would be more difficult since F-Zero is so fast paced, but I'm sure they'd include the ability to use the GCN controller, just like they did with Mario Kart.

It would be WAY more difficult. I have trouble enough on FZero GX with my GC controller :lol

When I play Mario Kart Wii, I don't use the Wii wheel. I just use the remote + nunchuk. Easier that way.

I use either Classic Controller or GCN for Mario Kart Wii. Wavebird is still my favorite controller of all time. I don't care that it has no rumble, I always turn it off anyway.

If I could buy it, I'd like to try Okami out. Also a few other games for Wii I think I'd like. There's actually a Phantom game on the computer. It's more of a hidden-object game though, which isn't my thing.

You know, as much as I love the Wii, it has a poor library in comparison to the Gamecube and N64.

The third party library might not be too great, but I think the Nintendo games on the Wii are far better than the ones on Gamecube, and just as good if not better than the N64 ones.

This is the silly little "ooh la-di-da" answer, but for me the Wii's significantly better than the GameCube because it has the exact same back catalogue, PLUS all the new spangly Wii games.

Even if there were only one worthwhile game for Wii, that's still left the GameCube redundant in every field but price.

But there's not! Metroid Prime 3 is classic. Smash Brawl. WiiFit's stellar if you've got the energy to keep up with it. New Super Mario Bros. The list goes on! And there's a splurge of phenomenal looking games coming out riiiiight about now... Skyward Sword, Donkey Kong Country Returns. Kirby's Epic Yarn looks marvellous, as does Sonic Colours.

My issue with the XBox 360 - and it's a fine console, mind - is that it seems to embody the "darker and edgier" side to gaming. It's populated by those games like Call of Duty, Splinter Cell, Grand Theft Auto... all these heavyweight juggernauts. And yes! They're well designed. Yes! They break very different ground, and do it well. No, they're not po-faced or dull - look at GTA, that's got the best humour-to-game ratio of most any game out there. But what I really love about the Wii is that it embodies escapism. It's that light, fluffy, imagination-reigns side, and I love being able to switch off that cynical part of my brain. Meanwhile, the XBox tends to inhabit the cynicism - the "all cobwebs and no ice cream" section. There are exceptions, sure - Viva Pinata for the XBox for instance is pure silliness, whereas Metroid Prime has barely a joke throughout the entire trilogy and it's one of my favourite games - but the Wii breathes the same air as all the fantastic games I grew up with. It's the only console which feels like it's still breathing the same air as Sonic and Lemmings and Theme Hospital - and indeed all of the old-school Nintendo games, too.

XBox games feel a little over-macho to me. Like putting a rocket launcher on a dragon. Sure, they're trying to be cool, and sure, they're definitely succeeding - dragons with rocket launchers are fantastic - but it feels more like hard work than play.
