I have an old SNES console all rigged up here at home. I'll probably play some Super Mario World later :metal

Yup. The best thing to do now would bask in nostalgia, back when Nintendo was relevant and all.

I'll quote what I posted in the video games thread:

The past month has been awesome for the Wii. Kirby: Epic Yarn, Goldeneye, Sonic Colours, Epic Mickey and Donkey Kong Country Returns.

This only adds to the awesome titles that are already out. Too bad all the 'cool' kids are playing Call of Duty 7.

We need a new F-Zero, Voxyn. Think we'll get one for the 3DS?

I hope so. But I'd rather have one on the Wii. Not sure if I will get a 3DS yet.

I've got both an Xbox and a Wii (and not much time to play either), but I'm kind of a Nintendo fanboy.  Lately they've been making some bad decisions, IMO, but I can't wait for the new Donkey Kong Country game.

I approve of this thread.

Who's up for a top 50?
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. The three games I have been playing lately are Super Smash Brothers Brawl (trying to get all the Subspace enemy trophies), Goldeneye Wii (I suck at shooters, and the only bad thing about this game is I dont like the gamecube controller for shooters and the nunchuck is too clunky... but the game itself is awesome), and Kirby's Epic Yarn (Fun game, but almost no challenge).

Oh man, I miss the days when video games were flat.

I do not miss having to blow on them to make them work, though.

Please don't tell me I'm the only one who loves Animal Crossing WAY too much.

I go through phases. Sometimes ill play multiple times a day, other times I won't touch it for a few weeks.

Right now I'm taking a break from it.

Hey guys, I've been stuck on something. I recently got an SNES from a yard sale (For 25 cents, amazingly) It works and all, but I need some games. I bought Donkey Kong Country and Mario Paint recently, but I need some more suggestions. Anyone have any memories of awesome games? I know Super Mario World, Megaman X, Super Metroid etc. but what else is out there?

This is the first level.

Scary.

Why can't people shut up while recording walkthroughs?
Its a Let's Play, not really a walkthrough. Its meant to be entertaining.

Besides, I find it really, really boring to watch someone play and there is no talking at all. I like to hear their reactions as they play the game, it makes it feel more colorful and human.

After all, if you really want no talking period, gamefaqs exists for a reason.

If you like side scrolling shooters, Super R-Type is good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nk6kZqVmL3Q

Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Starfox
Zelda: A Link to the Past

I honestly think I own more imports than north american snes games.

Metroid Prime 1, 2, and 3 are some excellent games. What they were able to do with the Metroid franchise, turning in to a first person adventure, was awesome.

Much of my college life was devoted to Nintendo. SNES the first two years, the N64 the second two. The Mario Kart challenges we had in to the wee hours of the morning were phenomenal. Sorry mom and dad.

I've come to realize I hardly ever play games when I'm alone. And I think thats why I like Nintendo. A lot of their games are catered to just having fun and unique multiplayer experiences.
