Legendary Top 10.  Surprised I didn't see On Reflection or Knots. But Advent of Panurge, Pantagruel's Nativity, Cogs and Proc seem to be the heavy weights.

Thanks.  That shit was HARD to put together.  It was like singing madrigals in high school.  I love that stuff but hard singing it all alone.

Here's a couple of tracks of us performing what I feel were some of our better songs:

Think of me with kindness:

Love them! Octopus is one of my favorite albums. I still need The Power and The Glory. I've heard most of it and loved it.

When I was at NEARfest in June I was walking around and I thought I saw Gary Green. I wasn't sure if it was him so I didn't say anything. Then between acts they introduced him on stage. I regret not saying anything especially since I didn't see him at all after that. I would have liked to have said thanks for all the great music or something. I did get to meet Roger Dean and he signed a print of the original Octopus album cover.

Yeah, he seems like a cool guy.  All modesty aside, I'm sure he realizes how crazy Gentle Giant music is and how rare it is for bands to cover them, even songs without a lot of extracurricular instrumentation.

It's nuts. Even with how crazy the music is, it's still stupid catchy. Like, yeah. Advent of Panurge? The spoken fake language part has that sexy as hell bassline being played under it. MM MMM MMMMMMMMMM! But it's catchy, too.

I thought I'd take a moment to say Dog's Life is an amazing song and one of the most underrated songs I know of. Anyone else think that?

EDIT: Apparently I already said that in this thread. Well shit. :lol

Completely agree. Its not my favorite from Octopus but its still an excellent track.

Coincidentally, I was just listening to Free Hand earlier. I can't get over how great that album is, especially Just The Same.

I've heard a lot of people don't like Interview, which I totally, can understand. But, Give it Back has a real catchy tune.

Interview is a very good album. Maybe not as memorable overall as their previous work, but none of the material is bad.

Started listening to these guys in light of all of the comparisons Haken got with "Cockroach King." These guys rule! Such amazing vocal harmonies and quirky music done right.

Yeah, it's a pretty good album! Not as good as their previous albums, but still something I'm willing to spin while in the mood.

Have you not heard Haken's new album in full?! Get on that shiz.

But yeah, I've listened to Octopus and In a Glass House thus far, and it's all really amazing. Going to Free Hand next.
