And I actually don't mind shoveling snow that much. It's a pain in the ass when it's timed as such when I have to get up early and dig myself out and still go to work. But if I can do it on my own time, it's kind of fun.
What you have to do:
1. Take a bottle of your favorite vodka (or several bottles of beer, or whatever) and stick it in the snow (you know, to keep it cold)
2. Do a shot before you start shoveling
3. Dig a path to your car, turn on the stereo, and CRANK IT UP. (I find Pantera is best for this activity)
4. Continue to shovel, and do shots periodically as you progress.
And if you keep moving, you'll find that you're not even that cold.
This is actually how I wound up becoming friends with my next door neighbor. My boyfriend and I were out shoveling and he came over to help us (bless him). All I could offer him in return was a shot. Turns out he's a vodka enthusiast, so we've been friends ever since
