We're getting dumped on today. Supposed to get 12-18 inches today after about 4 yesterday. They're up on the roof frantically trying to shovel it off here at work when someone did the math and realized that there's more snow on the roof already in a few spots than it's rated for without everything we're getting today.

This is the first time in my life that I recall having to endure rolling blackouts. It's a trip. I actually wanted to come in to work today since the powers off/on at my apartment. The shop's proximity to DAL means they'll leave us alone.

lox, don't you live close to Keene N.H. ? They seem to get pounded all the time with snow.

What pisses me of is, after snowblowing and shoveling for 2 hours. I came in and stripped off the wet clothes only to have the plow come by and make that damn wall of snow in my drivway. I hate them.

Yeah, I live in Keene. We've gotten what I'm told is an abnormally large amount of snow this year (this is my first winter here). The surrounding areas more up in the hills around here have gotten hit worse.

Euro Model is predicting the snow...all the others are predicting the storms will meet further east thus only affecting the most Northern parts of NE

In all respect, MI is equipped to handle such storms. My family in NH is relieved when they hear a storm is only going to dump 2 feet. While CT as a whole is a rich state, it has a lot of areas that are poor as shit and can't afford the DOT crews. The response time for storms like this are atrocious.

Yeah, well this is a bit different. 25 inches with wind gusts to 80 mph. This is not your garden variety storm. In fact it could eclipse any I've seen in my lifetime in that area. We we soon see what comes. Should be interesting. My flooring store has decided to close tomorrow and Saturday so I get some unexpected time off. With no pay! weee hoooo!
