I didn't get into it as much as others straight away because I really didn't like some of the vocal melodies in the verses.

I love the song now though, the ending instrumental is one of the best bits of the album / DT in general.

Home and possibly Beyond This Life are ones I like better on the album.

I love this song, probably 1st or 2nd from that album for me.  Musically, it's just really fabulous.

I know it counts as a JM song lyrically, but that doesn't really matter to me in this case, since he was just fitting it into the story of the album.

Definitely best on album by far. This seems to be the only "Solid" song on the album, aside from Overture 1928.

This song, and SFAM in general, in my opinion, represent the last time when DT's, "crazy instrumental sections" actually fit the song and weren't just vehicles to demonstrate how fast they can play.

This was the first DT song I heard with vocals.  It blew me away, made me purchase SFAM and the rest of DT's catalog shortly after.  Phenomenal song.

Maybe, but I think that the sections in Blind Faith, 6DoIT, and TCoT all fit pretty well.

I'd never listen to Beyond This Life just like that... Fatal Tragedy flows into Beyond This Life so well, that I don't need to skip it on the CD and I actually enjoy the two together better than each of them itself.

Fatal Tragedy is awesome, my fave on Scenes except for possibly Overture 1928. Also quite possibly their greatest ever solo tradeoff/unison performance.

The best instrumental DT has ever done. That first keyboard riff in the instrumental is the Ruddess riff for me. It's just so full of dark POWAH!!!!!
