Van Halen and Aerosmith seem the two obvious answers.  The problem is that they both petered out after 4-6 albums.  I realize that they both kind of reinvented themselves, VH with Hagar and Aerosmith with [mother fucking] Desmond Child,  but it's really not the same.

I would say that Van Halen would be the obvious choice if not for Eddie's descent into insanity.

So my vote goes to Journey.
