Why have I not posted in this thread?

I absolutely love Bath. I think it's about time I listen to Leaving Your Body Map.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

I have a weird thing with Kayo Dot and motW; I know that they're both objectively amazing, and I'd rate all of the albums I've heard from both of them very highly, they just don't really do anything whatsoever for me at any emotional level.

maudlin of the Well and Choirs of the Eye bounce around between progressively extreme, chaotic, deafeningly loud and screechy death/black metal (sometimes it's one, sometimes it's the other) and airy, atmospheric, fusion-esque mellow stuff with singing. other stuff comes in a bit more occasionally: ambient and drone, spoken word, actual jazz, etc.

Kayo Dot post-Choirs have focused almost exclusively on the experimental/prog rock/jazz fusion/ambient facets of the sound, with occasional forays into the extreme metal facets (happens on Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue, but less than on Choirs), to the point where it's almost like Godspeed You! Black Emperor with vocals at times. (structural orchestral-esque movement GY!BE, not really ambient-sound-collage GY!BE.)

Also, apparently Toby has another 'pop black metal' project called Vaura. There's only one demo on their myspace, but it's REALLY good. I can't wait to hear more: https://www.myspace.com/vaura

They're currently recording :caffeine:

There's a live video here that's decent quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHbCmuiivSU

And yeah, myspace really needs to die. Terrible site.

I now have Bath.  It is quite a bit different from Part the Second and Choirs of the Eye, isn't it.  I don't think I like the other guys' death growls.

Where should I go from here?

I've had and loved PTS for quite some time now, but I still haven't gotten around to listening to any of Toby's other stuff.

Downloaded Part the Second the other week and I've fallen in love with the album. It's certainly...avant-garde. Gonna check out out these Kayo Dot chaps now.

The intro to Girl With a Watering Can. I think it's a clarinet, everyone disagrees with me. I played the clarinet for years.

Which is it?

It's an alto saxophone. The keys on a clarinet do not sound like that. From hearing my ex play a saxophone all the time, I know what the keys of a saxophone sound like, and that sound is present in the intro of that song.
