Yeah, what the hell?

It's an hour and a half away from me... so I might go. Dream Theater's the only act I'm interested in, so a hundred bucks a little steep.

This acoustic set had better make it on to Youtube.  Thats more exciting to me than them getting into a R&R HOF.

Considering the number of inductees, what are the odds of DT doing more than 1 song? Which will probably be wither.

I agree.  The appeal for me is mostly the "party" where you can mingle with inductees at an open bar.  Of course, I'll probably freeze up and go mute.  But the ceremony and speech will be nice to see, as a fan.  The castle is beautiful too.  I think it will be a memorable time for sure.

I'm so there.  This place is literally about 5 minutes from my apartment.  I could practically walk there (which might not be a bad idea considering the "open bar" part of the evening).

They might do more than 1.  There are lots of inductees, but I'd say at least half of them arent' actually performers.  For example, I would imagine there won't be any performance by the concert venue, the radio station program director, the booking agency president, the classical composer or the photographer... :P

If they brought together Kevin, Derek, Mike and the new drummer, I will fly down from Saskatchewan.

Just bought my ticket.  Definitely my most expensive DT-related expenditure to date.  But worth it to be there at such a special moment for them.  I would regret passing up the opportunity for sure.

Also, here are photos of the venue.  It's an epic venue.  The perfect location for DT epics.  It's epic upon epic with a side of epicness.

I bet the songs they play will be the songs that haven't made them what they are, but songs that the general public attending the event will enjoy.

Based on those pictures I can clearly say that Col. Mustard did it in the kitchen with the knife.

Anyone else going? If a few DTF members show up, and Dream Theater play for a decent amount of time, I may consider going.

Awesome, Eric B & Rakim are being inducted also.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

A picturesque estate...

Surely one day they'll work out it would be simpler and far more legal just to suckle on each others' teats in a kind of wonderful 69 of eternal calcium goodness.

Now Wait a minute man.

They were invited to a castle, being promised a funny adventure, on sprawling emerald fields, an ancient world of times gone by?
