If you go to these shows, you will have seen Sleepytime Gorilla Museum for the last time. As it turns out, we are being replaced.

It has been an honor to make our music with you, both in the room and not. Though these are our final performances, we are still in the process of finishing a new record, a short film called 'The Last Human Being', and a compendium live DVD that's been gathering source material for the past six years.

You will be invited to take part in both the final shows, and the shooting of the final scene of our film in early August. Please stay tuned.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that. I think it is just a way of saying that there will be other bands and music to take their place since they are leaving the scene.

Seriously, he's an awesome guy. Really down to earth, really nice. I asked him about the possibility of a second solo album, and he said it's something he'd love to do, it's just a matter of money. I recommended that he try kickstarter for it, especially since that worked with Tartar Lamb II and (essentially the same thing) Part the Second. He said he'd look into it

Stolen Babies is the only band I like from this genre so far, maybe cause out of all the others I tried of that genre; they're the only band that has songs with structure and arrangement..

Stolen Babies is one of my favorite bands now, nice pop sensibilities mixed with that weird, avant-garde edge. I love it.

Diablo Swing Orchestra is similar in that regard. You may want to give them a try if you haven't already.

Anyone heard of The Amazing BrandO? He used to be part of the nerdcore hiphop duo Duane and BrandO. But they split, and now he's making (from what I can tell) crazy avant-garde. My friend sent me the song Endless Relentless the other day. Fucking spectacular and balls out crazy.
