Four Special North American Headlining Shows Announced!!!

The Greek melodic metal phenomenon FIREWIND, led by the young guitar sensation Gus G., have returned with the scathing new studio album Days of Defiance, which is easily their defining musical moment. The group will celebrate the album’s release with a limited number of special North American headlining shows. The trek, which kicks off on Nov. 4th and runs through Nov. 7th, features Powerglove and The Absence in the support slots.

Gus G. states: “We are very happy to announce four special album release shows in North America this fall in support of our new record, Days of Defiance. It"s been awhile since FIREWIND played North America, as our last tour was Spring/Summer 2008.

“This is a very special run for us, as it will be the first time we"ll play the new songs live. It also might be awhile until we come back for a full North American run, so we REALLY hope to see many of you come out to these shows. We"ll be sure to rock you to the ground and that"s a promise!”

The much anticipated Days of Defiance is set for an October 25th release in Europe, as well as an October 26th release in North America.

I am checking out premonition right now...any particular recommendations?

I am one of the few Firewind fans that seems to like old and new stuff equally, and I wouldn't say any album stands really tall above the rest, so The Premonition is a fine place to start.

Like I said, don't really have much preference between their albums, but I probably prefer The Premonition by a hair.
