Sucks that Geddy Lee and I don't share our birthday with Neil Peart.

Red Sector A is a song that just does not get enough love at all.

It means more to me for obvious reasons. The Body Electric is close behind it, actually.

What are you talking about? It regularly is considered in the top 2 from that album despite being 4th at best.

The Enemy Within, Between the Wheels and Distant Early Warning are all easily superior. And on most days I'd probably put Afterimage and The Body Electric ahead of it as well.

If we are talking just studio versions, then I agree that "Red Sector 'A'" is not one of the two best songs on P/G, but it absolutely slays live, therefore putting it up there.

To be fair, pretty much every song on Grace Under Pressure is 10/10 and perfect. So even being dead last on the album does not mean it is bad.

You mean except for Kid Gloves and Red Lenses which are the two worst songs of the synth era.

Kid Gloves was way better live then Red Lenses when I saw them in 1984.

I wouldn't call it the worst, but along with Kid Gloves it is one of about 6 or 7 Rush songs I straight up don't care for.

The more I listen to G/P the more I realize that there isn't a single bad song on it, it's all around perfect, just like PoW

I hate that abbreviation for Grace Under Pressure so much.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Technically, "Pressure Over Grace" would imply "Grace Under Pressure" -- but yeah, "P/G" sucks.

And remember, Rush fans in general are a nerdy bunch.  I'm sure a nerd came up with "P/G".

You know the P/G thing came from the artwork, right? I guess Neil is a pretty big nerd, then :lol

GUP and P/G are the two abbreviations I've seen. Wasn't even aware people used G/P (which doesn't make any sense).

I've seen the little scribbly thing on the cover, but never realized that it was P/G.

And yes, Neil is a nerd.  All three of those guys are ridiculous nerds, and openly admit it.

I had no idea that scribble was there.  One of the the things you lose with CDs instead of Vinyls, I guess.

I've never got a tattoo but if I did I'd love to get the egg in the vice so only Rush fans would get the significance.

Aslo, T-minus one day to RUSH!!! :metal

 There is no way that "Second Nature" and "Tai Shan" are better than either of those.  I'd take both over possibly "Countdown" and "Emotion Detector," as well.

Also of note is that the "p/g" logo/image was one of SIX used on Neil's drums for his R30 drum set. The other five were the 2112 star man, the rabbit in a hat from Presto, the Roll The Bones skull, the nut and bolt from Counterparts, and the man-shaped stone Inukshuk from Test For Echo.

The P/G thing is also on the vinyl itself, it's on the sticker that they place in the middle of the LP.

Same, except I am absolutely LOATHING having to drive in to Boston.

My wife gets out a 3pm, then I'm meeting my bro, sis in law, and my bro's best 2 friends at Boston Beer works.  Throw a few beers down my gullet and of to Rush.

The traffic will be a bitch.
