Hey guys, shitty news. Turns out my legs and lungs sustained way more damage than originally thought. I got rushed to the hospital yesterday because I was feeling unbarable chest pains. Turns out multiple blood clots have formed in my legs and lungs. Usually blood thinner would take care of this, but they are concerned about that method because of the damage to my splene.

I needed shots and pills after I lost my spleen and had blood clots in my lungs. I know what your going through.  Hang in there Chino.  Stay positive, you will make it through all this.

Shit, chino, you do what you have to do. A blood clot can be a life threatening issue whereas one can live without a spleen. PLEASE be smart and do what you have to do. Good luck, and good vibes coming your way.

True words. I lost my spleen in 97 and I'm fine. Blood clots are serious business. Being under constant care is a good thing.

Forgot about this thread, just thought I'd give everyone a little update.

By the time this was all said and done, I had three different hospital visits totaling 14 nights. My third stay, they put a filter in my main artery to catch any new clots from reaching the heart. I get blood test done every week, and cat scans/ultra sounds every 3 weeks. The clots in my right leg are completely gone, but the ones in my left leg have actually gotten larger. I occasionally have a hard time time sleeping due to chest pains, but I deal with it. I have been back to work full time for over a month now and can do almost anything I would like to do. I haven't had alcohol since the fall, even though the temptation is killing me.

On a side note I got a letter a while back from the university saying I am banned from both campuses. If I am found anywhere on either of them I get arrested immediately. That wouldn't bother me, except I spent 2 years there, and have many friends that I can no longer go visit. I sent the head of housing 3 emails and called him 4 times and never received a response. I sent him and the dean a hand written letter earlier this week, and started it with "with the advice of council.." I then explained the situation, how everything went down, and why I felt I should be allowed back in the dorms. I stressed that I didn't break a single rule. I was signed in properly as a guest, my alcohol was signed in, I was in a 21 or older room, everyone in the room was of age, etc.. I just made a poor decision. I also stated how within 24 hours of falling, I had 6 lawyers contact me, and I more than likely could have gotten some sort of settlement out of the school. I could have used some bullshit like there was no lighting on the balconies, even though codes call for it. I chose not to because I don't believe in getting a reward for stupidity. We'll see if I hear any response.

Wait, is the university you got banned from the one you went to school at or is it just a friend's school? If its the former, I hope you can get back in... best of luck!
