Modernized versions of old songs
« on: August 15, 2010, 05:43:32 AM »
In this thread we post youtube videos, etc. to covers of old songs that were redone in a modernized way.

Here are my favorites:
Any screamo band doing "Toxic" by Britney Spears https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rcbFoKJHes
Alien Ant Farm doing "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDl9ZMfj6aE
and Filter doing "Happy Together" by the Turtles. https://www.usaupload.net/d/lwe393gvqx9

I've always liked Metallica's versions of 'Whiskey in the Jar' and 'Turn the Page'. They're both not shockingly different from the originals, but with a beefed up Metallica sound. Lovin' it.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

Came in here to post exactly those. I actually like Metallica's versions more than the originals to be honest.
