Doubtful. Most major venues have contracts with the ticketing agents (LN/TM). Bands that sell tickets outside of the usual suspects get a minor allotment of tickets (i.e. Phish and their mail-order ticket system). That leaves bands' collective hands tied in trying to do innovative things such as this, unless they go to non-traditional venues...

I don't get it. What's so different from the normal way of getting tickets? 75% of the tickets I buy are in .pdf and scanned at the door.
