If you like more hard rock than what Rush usually is (as far as I know; I'm only a casual fan), try their new single Caravan. Definitely much more of a hard rock feel than anything I've heard from Rush before.

WTF. Lots of fail there (for putting them on the list, I mean) :sad: Animal Collective, Arcade Fire, Brand New, Bright Eyes, Death Cab, Joanna Newsom, P.O.S., and Tom Waits (my avatar!) are all amazing.

What the hell man. Tame Impala are great. Same with most of the band's Arcaeus mentioned. I can see why some people wouldn't like them, but it's incredibly presumptuous to assume that the only reason one could like them, is if they were trying to be cool/indie etc  :justjen

Medadeth. I love Slayer and Metallica and I have tried really, really hard to get into Megadeth. I don't know if perhaps I am not getting their best albums, but everything I have heard so far from megadeth is good, but not great. Also, with metallica and slayer, i get their point, i see what they are doing with their music. I can't see that with Megadeth.

Another band is Marillion. I have tried really hard, but everything seems "too calm" for me. I recognize their importance for progressive rock and it is a shame I can't understand their music, because I would certainly love to.

Neurosis. I love Tool, Isis and Rosetta... I just don't get Neurosis.

Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations are amazing albums.

However, what I have heard from Resistance is meh.
