When youngsters influence old fogies and vice versa.

I wanted to start a thread to say thanks to you youngsters for turning me onto bands like,

Karnivool
The Deer Hunter
& Fair To Midland.

Without you, I would have never found out about these bands. Now has any other old fogies been turned on to new bands by the youngsters and have any youngster been turned on to old bands by us old fogies?

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'.” - Bob Newhart
So wait, we're spelling it wrong and king is spelling it right? What is going on here? :lol -- BlobVanDam

Yes I am one of the older fogies at 47  :omg:  This will sound funny, but some of the youngsters have actually helped me to RE-discover OLD music.  F'rinstnce, Super Dude's enthusiasm for Jethro Tull and Dimitrius' for Black Sabbath have got me dusting off all my old shit and re-listening/re-appreciating/re-experiencing it all over again.

Newer bands?  Not so much. Maybe I'm just too damn old.

Well, Black Sabbath's first 6 albums are the best 6 album run of any band ever!
Joe and I in the same squad is basically the virtual equivalent of us plowing a rape van through an elementary school playground at recess.
