Yeah, I'm not sure why that's relevant anyway.

He was really good. The control he had over his tone was very impressive. And with a broken string, to boot!

BB King and Stevie still blow him out of the water, even though he was pretty awesome on "School Days" (the vid Antigoon posted).

BB never really did anything for me to be honest.  I just love the emotion in Costello's performance.

I appreciate BB immensely and listen to him from time to time, but I prefer the younger generations of blues guitarists.

BB seems to me to be more of the start of something than actually a fantastic player. Sure, he's very soulful etc, but he's been emulated pretty damn well by other guitarists whereas SRV is still unique to me, at least. This guy is excellent though, and also has a great blues voice!
