Some free (ish) CDs if anyone wants them...
« on: June 13, 2010, 08:29:06 AM »
UPDATE 21/6/2010: All are now taken.
----------------------------------------------

So, I'm getting rid of a bunch of CDs I don't really want anymore, so I thought rather than just throw them away I'd see if anyone here is interested in them. This is a bit cheeky I know, but I'm not charging any money for them (although I'd like to recover any postage costs if possible) so figured people probably won't mind.

Anyway here is the listing, post here or shoot me a PM if you're interested:

Arch Enemy - Wages of Sin (2CD special edition) - 2001
Arch Enemy - Anthems of Rebellion (CD + DVD digipak) - 2003
Consortium Project, The - III - Terra Incognita - 2003
Cradle of Filth - Midian - 2000
Cradle of Filth - Bitter Suites to Succubi (Special edition) - 2001

Deftones - Adrenaline - 1995
Deftones - Around the Fur - 1997
Deftones - White Pony - 2000

Deris, Andi - Done by Mirrors - 1999
Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon (Special edition digipak) - 2003
Dream Evil - Evilized - 2003
Ill Nino - Revolution/Revolucion - 2001
In Flames - Soundtrack to Your Escape (Special edition digipak) - 2004
Malmsteen, Yngwie - Alchemy - 1999
Megadeth - MD.45 - The Craving (2004 remaster) - 1996
Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black - 1999
Nugent, Ted - Craveman - 2002
Osbourne, Ozzy - Down to Earth - 2001
Queensryche - The Art of Live [live] - 2004
Rhapsody - Power of the Dragonflame (CD + DVD in DVD case) - 2002
Stratovarius - Elements Pt 2 - 2003
Stratovarius - Stratovarius - 2005
Symphony X - Symphony X - 1994
Symphony X - The Damnation Game - 1995
Townsend, Devin - Devlab - 2004
Turilli, Luca - The Infinite Wonders of Creation  (Special edition) - 2006
Virgin Steele - Noble Savage (1996 remaster) - 1986
Virgin Steele - The House of Atreus Act I - "Kingdom of the Fearless" - 1999
Virgin Steele - The House of Atreus Act II - "Wings of Vengence" - 2000
Withering Surface - Walking on Phantom Ice - 2001

EDIT: Oh just to add, all of these are in good to "like new" quality. I treat all my CDs very well.

Well, if I want to hear it again I can listen on Spotify, but I don't like it enough to want to keep the actual CD. Same with quite a few of those CDs really.

:lol Well all the speculation at the time made out it was going to be a return to form. Needless to say, I was quite disappointed.

I'd take you up on the offer but I'm probably going to get rid of a few of my cds too.
You could always take them to a cd store that buys used and get a couple of bucks each.

I saw Virgin Steele live.  They were almost a low point for the festival except they lit some swords on fire during their set.

It's not tooooooo bad, obviously the bigger the package the less it costs per CD, and I wasn't thinking of going for the expensive options unless people are willing to pay obviously. :lol

I'm interested in all of the Deftones albums and Dreaming Neon Black from Nevermore.
Interested enough to go ahead with it?

Plan is to get a quote for roughly how much it'll be to ship whatever is being sent, do the payments with PayPal, and then send the items as soon as the payment goes through.

Getting rid of the jewel cases for shipping overseas isn't so bad, either.  Everything flattens and those cases get wrecked so much with cheaper shipping options, anyways.

Gosh, didn't expect quite such a quick response from people. :lol Is everyone expressing interest able to use PayPal? I don't know of any other way to do it, so I rather hope so...

Including PMs, going by a first-come-first-serve approach, I have the following (crossed out means payment has been made):

LHK:
Arch Enemy - Wages of Sin (2CD special edition)
Arch Enemy - Anthems of Rebellion (CD + DVD digipak)
Townsend, Devin - Devlab

bodiesinflight:
Deftones - Adrenaline
Deftones - Around the Fur
Deftones - White Pony

Bombardana:
Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon (Special edition digipak)

zxlkho:
In Flames - Soundtrack to Your Escape (Special edition digipak)
Megadeth - MD.45 - The Craving (2004 remaster)
Symphony X - Symphony X

Nick:
Queensryche - The Art of Live [live]
Rhapsody - Power of the Dragonflame (CD + DVD in DVD case)
Stratovarius - Elements Pt 2
Symphony X - The Damnation Game

SeaWolf:
Cradle of Filth - Midian
Cradle of Filth - Bitter Suites to Succubi (Special edition)

wkiml:
Consortium Project, The - III - Terra Incognita
Dream Evil - Evilized
Ill Nino - Revolution/Revolucion
Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black
Nugent, Ted - Craveman
Turilli, Luca - The Infinite Wonders of Creation  (Special edition)
Virgin Steele - Noble Savage (1996 remaster)
Virgin Steele - The House of Atreus Act I - "Kingdom of the Fearless"
Virgin Steele - The House of Atreus Act II - "Wings of Vengence"
Withering Surface - Walking on Phantom Ice

Samsära:
Deris, Andi - Done by Mirrors
Malmsteen, Yngwie - Alchemy
Osbourne, Ozzy - Down to Earth
Stratovarius - Stratovarius

For shipping to the USA (which I think everyone is from), going by a rough estimate I have based on weight, I think I'm going to go with $2.50 for the first disc, $2 for the second and $1.50 per disc for any more than that. For jewel cases, if you want to provide your own then I'll deduct $0.30 for each jewel case I remove. Obviously that's not an option with digipaks.

If the people above can confirm whether they want to go ahead with their choices then I'll try and figure out how to take payments by PayPal and we'll take it from there.

My email is ariich at hotmail dot com.

Feel free to wait until others confirm their orders though, as if people who chose albums that you wanted back out then I can add them to your list. Or we can do a second order later on if that should happen, entirely up to you.

For anyone making the payment, make sure once it's done you PM me your username here so I know what to send you and your real name so I can identify the payment. Oh and your address, obviously. :lol Cheers!

Cradle of Filth - Midian - 2000
Cradle of Filth - Bitter Suites to Succubi (Special edition) - 2001

I'll take these if the shipping costs all the way from the UK aren't too bad.

edit:  didn't notice you already posted how much you're charging... I'm still in :tup

I'm on an unsecured wireless right now, so it'll be a little while before I get your payment.

I might be interested in:

Dream Evil - Evilized - 2003
Osbourne, Ozzy - Down to Earth - 2001
Stratovarius - Stratovarius - 2005

So if my calculations are correct, to ship these to the United States Of America, it'd be $6.00. Is that right?

That is indeed correct, unless I remove the jewel cases and just send the discs and paper bits, in which case it'd be $5.10.

I reckon £1.50 for the first disc and £1 for any others. Didn't realise you were British. :lol
