Iron Maiden - Seventh son of a seventh son
Led Zeppelin - Carouselambra
Pink Floyd - The Gold is in the...
Genesis - One for the wine
The Beatles - A day in the life (with Mike singing the ''Woke up, fell out of bed...'' part, and the awkward string section being turned into a wild unison)

 :metal :metal :metal

Jordan would do absolute justice to those choir pads that appear near the end of the song.

Rocky IV - Training Montage.

Now that's a cool suggestion. Most of the ones in this thread are rather predictable.

I'd agree to this, but if they did a whole Rush album, it would HAVE to be Exit...Stage Left. I mean, we'd get MP doing YYZ with the drum solo (again), JP doing "Broon's Bane", some tasty key-stuff for JR to do, and the awesome bass and vocal stuff that Geddy does for JMX and JLB. That, and the song selection is just top notch.

Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Jesus Christ himself* comes down amidst a choir of 2 billion angels singing Handel's Hallelujah chorus. As KrotchRaut shred randomly on guitars made of dragon bones using picks made from God's kidney stones, Jesus heals a blind woman who promptly gives birth onstage to a creation of pure light.

*Yes, Jesus Christ himself. Nothing less will do.

I'm sure many would agree, and before they did Deep Purple's Made In Japan, there was no precedent for the possibility of DT covering a live album over a studio one.

That being the case, if they DID cover a live Rush album, would ESL be better or worse than ASOH?

As for a studio album pick, I would definitely have to pick either Grace Under Pressure or Power Windows. But to be realistic, they are probably as likely to cover a Muse album as much a Rush one these days...

Seasons In The Abyss - Slayer (It'd just be cool to see them incorporate the riff like they do in Peruvian Skies)
Land Of Confusion - Genesis (Put their own twist on it like Disturbed did)
Painkiller - Judas Priest
Heartbreaker/Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin

If I'm honest I have to agree with the Exit, Stage Left suggestion. That's one doozy of a setlist. And it's closer in length to an entire second set, too. Most Rush albums are shy of 40 minutes. ESL gets through a ridiculous amount of killer material without some of the slightly... let's say "rightly less iconic" tracks weighing it down.

I don't think there's a more perfect choice for a Rush cover than that. A bona fide classic with all the best songs.

It really doesn't give Jordan a lot to do though. A synth era album, however, would be perfect

I'd kinda like to see DT do some original lineup Queensryche, but given the bad blood between the two bands now, I'm not going to hold my breath for that.  I think we all suspect a Rush album cover at some point in time.  Other than that, I really don't care to see them do any covers.  They've done so many over the years, and most of them have been pretty good, but I just don't really have a strong desire to hear anymore covers from them at this stage.

There's bad blood between Queensryche and DT? I know the deal with Mike Stone and Petrucci not liking one another, but I was unaware of an actual feud.

Pretty sure they fell out on their co-headlining tour... Mike Portnoy used to like calling Geoff Tate "Geoff Taint." Something to do with ridiculous demands. Think they're okay now, though.
