Marco Sfogli
Two Petruccis would be redundant.

have you listened to his solo cd?
I think he would be a perfect fit...
Agree...but his guitar work with LaBrie is pretty cool as well.

ROINE STOLT!!!... eh, or?

Roine Stolt is one of the best guitarists around, but his style and approach would not be a good fit with DT.

Seeing as Paul Gilbert has been mentioned a number of times - for anyone unfamiliar with Paul Gilbert's solo work, here's a tune from his "Burning Organ" album called "Bliss".  The guitar work on this track is outstanding and the solo is a freakin' barn burner.  Enjoy.

Jeff Loomis.

Same problem with Michael Romeo - two all star guitarists constantly competing with each other wouldn't end well.

I agree that Paul Waggoner is probably the best and most realistic choice thus far.
Gadough isn't Hitler. He's much, much worse.

Chocolate is sweet. Caramel is sweet. Sometimes too much of a good thing is just simply awesome. I recommend you enjoy an Abita Restoration Ale with 8-10 lbs. of spicy-ass crawfish while listening to a playlist of DT and Nevermore's heaviest tracks my friend.
