We lost a legend yesterday.  One of the best jazz singers ever, up there with Ella and Billie.

Heard about this on NPR this morning... she was also a pioneering actress.

I remember seeing her on an episode of The Cosby Show.  I think they went to see her on Cliff's (Cosby's character) birthday, as she was his favorite musician or something.  That is all I got.
