You guys talking about Ariel remind me of the classic Night Gallery episode "Lindemann's Catch". Anyone remember that one, or Night Gallery at all? It was Rod Serling's "other" TV series, after The Twilight Zone.

Lindemann is a fisherman, the kind who makes his living pulling up big nets full of fish and selling them at market. One day, he catches a mermaid in his net. She's beautiful, he falls in love with her, the other fishing captains give him a lot of shit about it, plus there's the... um... physical issue.

This wacky guy comes by one night with a special potion which he promises will solve that specific issue. For real? "Give her this tonight, and by morning she'll walk on two legs."

True, but Ariel is presented as an immature young girl (mermaid), while Belle is quite serious and mature for her age. Their actions are very much in keeping with their characters.

I vote Belle since she has a pretty face, sings well (again, thinking Broadway, lol), and a good personality.

Ariel looks kind've like a kid, but she's pretty and sings, so (Broadway again) so she's cool.

Also I agree, Aurora's (Sleeping Beauty) had an awesome singing voice.
