https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZn2Fv7dzec  First time I heard this song back in 1987 or so, this was literally my facial expression:  :omg:  I immediately traded my copy of Appetite for Destruction for this album.

It's coming off a little dramatic for my tastes.  Also, you shouldn't trade Appetite for anything.  That album, no matter how many times you hear it, is a timeless classic.  Also:

1) It's an audio textbook on how to play rock drums.
2) There isn't a song on it that would be out of place in a strip club.

Also, I got my tickets for M3.  SO looking forward to it.  Also, picked up the new Mr. Big disc on iTunes yesterday.  Great stuff.

Warlock was actually a damn good band. I never really got into them though. Saw them once.

I wish I had seen them.  Doro's solo band afterward had some really strong output as well, but she ultimately started doing WAY too many ballads and not enough rockers for my taste.

...

There are some good songs, but that band just fell out of favor with me very quickly.  I can assure you, the trade was well worth it.  :)  However, I have to admit, I wasn't really into drums back then, so I've never paid close attention to the drumming.  I'll have to take a closer listen from that angle.

I'll also add that if the day ever comes that I actually DO get to see you play and jump up on stage with you, I would TOTALLY be down for doing Paradise City.

The drums on it are really solid all the way through.  Hard and heavy skins bashing that always perfectly fits the song.  Also a good primer on the use of cowbell in rock.

It's a good drum primer the way the Highway To Hell album was for my generation.

Not knowing what tonight has in store, I will post up a video prior to Thirsty Thursday Evening:

Alcatrazz - God Blessed Video.

Cheesy assed video, but Graham Bonnet can sing like nobody's business.  This song makes me wanna jump in a Cheetah or on a PCJ-600 and cruise the strip on Ocean Beach, stopping off at my room at the Ocean View motel before going around the corner to the Pole Position club for a little R&R.  Surely this isn't an insanely obscure reference, right?  Either way, it also has Steve Vai and that's always a good thing.

The second MSG album is one of my favorite of all time, probably Top 5! On And On was one of the most influential rock tracks of my life. Love Looking For Love, Secondary Motion, and But I Want More!!
Feels Like A Good Thing rocks. Such a great solo. Any love for Built To Destroy?
So much to say on the Schenker thing..but I can't right now. Will have to pick it up when I come back from vacation.

One of my favorite early 80's album was Heavy Pettin's Lettin' Loose from 1983. Musically they sit right between Def Leppard's High n Dry and Pyromania, with a little Saxon as well. I wore this casette out in high school!
Here are a few tracks:
