Doesn't look like it. Zeltar seems to not be completing his Metallica survivor, and he was going to wait until that was done before moving onto Maiden.

So, at this point, that slot is open to anyone who is free to run it.

I would love to run it but I have my Judas Priest survivor. Unless it's allowed to run multiple ones?

Are you referring to the Maiden survivor or Metallica survivor here? Because it'd be nice if someone could jump in so we could finish the Metallica survivor.

The problem is that, since the P/S side has been trimmed, all the previous album results are lost. I'm sure if all the participants put our heads together, we could recall which songs were advancing to the finals, but until then, Zeltar would be the only one who could provide that information. And that's only if he had been keeping track of it, himself.

Just posting to make sure it would be alright to run the end of one Album as I begin the other for my Marillion Survivor?

For example, I would finish the second-to-last round of an Album, which determines the 3rd Place Consolation Song, and leaves the Final Two for Finals. As some have stated, they'd like to see which of those two would win that Album Survivor for Best Song of the Album. I wasn't going to do that, considering Marillion's looooong discography and number of songs on their albums, and doing 2-Day Rounds, the Survivor would take a VERY long time, so I was going to shave off 2 days/1 round from each Album and save time.

...BUT, if I can run that "Final Round" as I start the next album, it would take as much time anyway. It'd probably be a 1-day Round anyway, but if it's not a problem having two 2-Day Rounds up (the end of one album, the start of another) concurrently, then great! :tup

Just out of interest has anyone run a LTE survivor in the not-too-distant past?

If so, do they have results?
If not, is there any interest in one at some point? It would be fairly short (17 rounds) but there are a lot of survivors starting/about to start at the moment

@M - Yep, I have no problem with that.

@Jirpo - If you are willing to stick through the whole survivor, I'll be happy to have you start the Maiden survivor.

@wjc - It's been quite some time since the last LTE survivor. If you want to start a little later in the month, you're more than welcome to.

I will start an Amorphis survivor in a few days, if there aren't too many survivors running at the moment.

Yeah, I ran that.  Universal Mind won in a landslide, although some of the other rounds were hotly contested.

I'm pretty when I mentioned the idea before, people seemed to be interested in a Foo Fighters survivor, especially with the new album out in a couple of weeks. Would aim to start it in the next couple of days if there were enough interest.

dethklok and cyberdrummer, can you guys see what kind of interest there would be for your respective survivor ideas? If you think you guys can get enough voters, I'll chalk you guys up.

Nevermore is very iffy. Lat doesn't post in P/S ever, and he's probably the biggest fan of them on here. Also, I don't even think he's heard the self-titled album (along with many, I'm sure). You'd have an incredibly slow start, and still a pretty slow survivor anyway. I don't think it's really worth it.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

I would probably start with this godless endeavor, or dead heart in a dead world. You know the more popular albums and give time for people to listen to the lesser known ones like the politics of ecstacy or in memory.

Aside from the fact that it bugs the fuck out of me when survivors don't go in chronological order, that's probably a better solution.

I wouldn't be opposed to that idea.
I personally would only participate in the This Godless Endeavor rounds.

As much as I prefer chronological order, if you think working from most to least popular will help you strum up more interest, I'm all for it.
As for the lesser-known albums, it's your responsibility to get people motivated to listen to them and vote.

There seems to be a lot of interest, especially with the new album out recently, I expect there to be plenty of voters. Would like to get it started quite soon.
