Steins;Gate is on Hulu   That will be next.  Still have a good deal of SAO to watch.  I'm on episode 8 right now, and won't discuss due to spoilers  :P

I'm really liking it.  I don't know how much I can discuss without giving any spoilers, but I like the premise of the show, and so far i think it's done pretty well.

Genowyn surely can... I actually just started it myself. Very intriguing anime, superbly stylistic and downright sexy at times. Yet it still has a compelling story. Granted, I have no fucking clue what it's about (ep.2..starting soon) but it looks to be very interesting.

Finished SAO.  I liked it.  I read that a lot of people didn't like the ALFheim arc, which I don't get.

Is anyone able to give me the lowdown on Bakemonogatari?

A former-part-vampire-guy slowly builds a harem by solving the supernatural problems that plague each girl. The art is great, the acting is great. It has its funny moments, its awesome moments, its heartwarming moments. The second season (Nisemonogatari) has a lot of fanservice. Bakemonogatari is one of my favorite animes and you should watch it.

Also NEW SEASON

So far I'm watching:

Oreimo 2 (recommend if you liked Oreimo)
Railgun S (recommend if you liked Railgun)
Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan (recommend to ALL)
Suisei no Gargantia (written by Urobuchi Gen so it gets an automatic recommendation. Only seen the first episode so far but it's promising)
Devil Survivor 2 The Animation (recommend if you've played the game, or liked the Persona anime, or like Shin Megami Tensei, or even if none of those things)
The last one, I forget what it's called but it's about a demon lord who gets transported to earth and becomes a human, so he has to start working at not-McDonalds.

SO MANY ANIME TO ADD TO MY LIST. SO LITTLE TIME.

Seriously, there's no way I'm getting through all my planned to watch before law school. Currently on episode 3 of Angel Beats, pretty OK. I like it for the funnies.

In other news, I'm also almost through the first episode of Steins;Gate. I do not understand what's going on.

I was thinking about starting Steins Gate after I finished SAO.  Instead I started Lucky Star.    Maybe I'll start SG next.

I don't know what to think of Lucky Star yet  :lol

I couldn't even get through the first episode of Lucky Star. I've seen funny clips of it on YouTube, but I think there are just some series where that's as far as I can go.

I can see that.  There seems to be no plot at all.  I was surprised when they spent 5 minutes in the first episode talking about how they eat food.

But after seeing a few more, that's what this series is about.

THE FOOD BIT IS EXACTLY WHAT ANNOYED ME. I dunno. I like funny, random shows, but not that random. :lol

Anyway, now I'm starting Robotics;Notes. I might be hooked on this whole science adventure thing.

Oh jeez give Lucky Star a chance. Sure they talk about food for the first five minutes, but it's worth it for some of the later stuff...of course it's mostly referential humour, so unless you're a pretty big weeaboo you probably won't get it.

Just finished Steins;Gate and starting the OVA now. What the hell was I waiting for? That was beautiful.

Yes what WERE you waiting for? This show has been out for like two years :lol

So hey how about that Madoka anyone watch that yet or am I gonna be waiting another few months for someone to come in here and be like "I saw this show Madoka and it was great" and I'll be like "YEAH I TOLD YOU GUYS THAT"

I don't suppose you mean Puella Magi Madoka Magica?

Also, I rewatched the first episode for all the foreshadowing and whatnot, and came upon the following mind screw:

So the alpha world line, in which SERN takes over and Mayuri dies, is made possible by the first D-mail, in which Okabe writes to Daru that Kurisu got stabbed at the lecture, effectively preventing it from taking place.

The beta world line, in which Kurisu dies and WW III takes place, is made possible by Okarin seeing Kurisu apparently or actually murdered, and her father getting away with the time machine research.

How does Kurisu living change either world line to the Steins Gate world line, if in either case, Okarin will still always send a text to Daru about the apparent or actual murder, and unknowingly and unintentionally sending the first D-mail?

Or am I just thinking about this wrong?

Madoka has officially landed itself on my Plan to Watch list. I also dropped Robotics;Notes after one episode. What a drop in quality from its predecessor.

In other news, Steins;Gate has inspired me to take up creative writing again, this time a thriller in a similar spirit to it. Quite fun, although I'm frustrated and depressed by the fact that whatever I write will never be anywhere near as good. :lol

I'm so far at episode 16 of Lucky Star.  I like it pretty well, even if there isn't a storyline in the conventional sense.  It's almost like the series is just for developing the main characters.

Also, I think I'm going to start Kids on the Slope after LS.  Anyone seen this?  I'm curious since Crunchy Roll had it advertised in the background during a Lucky Star episode.

I liked it, although some have said it got too mushy towards the end. I for one LOVED the last scene. Any scene with music for that matter.

Also, has anyone got any suggestions as to what anime I should watch now?

I'm pretty new to this but so far I've watched (in order of when I watched them):

Code Geass
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Death Note
Elfen Lied
Sword Art Online
Steins;Gate
Fate/Zero

I liked pretty much every one (except maybe not SAO as much as the others). Any recommendations? I wouldn't mind something a bit darker, along the lines of DN.

I think I'll speak for several on this forum and recommend Puella Magi Madoka Magica.  It's one of my favorite animes now (in addition to Akira, Lain and Evangelion, which I would also recommend).

All very dark.

Texhnolyze is probably what comes to mind for me as one of the darkest I've seen.

The pacing is hella slow and the ending will leave you wanting to die but it's a really damn good anime, and definitely worth watching. (the first episode is pretty difficult to get through.

also I'll second the recommendations of Madoka, Lain, and Mirai Nikki
