Often people suffer from low self esteem and low confidence. Are you one of these people, or have you grabbed life by the balls and are ready to take on the world?

I can say with the utmost confidence that, "Yes, I'm ready to grab on to some balls."

This. Though during the times when I don't believe in myself whatsoever, or when I feel my self esteem was just kicked in the dick, I tend to not think clearly, and fuck things up for myself in some way. i.e. my relationship with Hayley

Yep. I mean, who knows whether I'll end up accomplishing the goals I have for myself right now, or if I'll even have those goals in the future, but I'm on the right track, keeping my shit together, and enjoying life immensely. Whatever Sigz says, that's my answer

Hell yeah. I believe I can do anything possible that I want if I put my mind to it and I believe I'm a good person. Only self-esteem issue I have is probably that I'm quite socially awkward in some situations but with my friends etc. it's all good.

I used to have self steem issues and a serious jealousy problem with my girlfriend -now wife- because of that. When your self steem is so low you think she can leave your for anyone because everybody else is better. In the immortal words of Casey, "don't know what I'd do if you lost sleep over little old me, you're so much better, they're all much better".
However, thanks to her I've been building confidence throughout the years. That along with a certain amount of success with personal relationships and my job makes me say today that "yes, I do believe in myself". And what's more, I notice my family/friends/coworkers believe in me.

I broke free from a class freezing me out and became happy in a new class where everyone was a year older than me. A lot of it was because of my self-confidence.
I guess I'm still as confident, I am very sure of myself. However, because of a series of events, I have begun to think more and more bad things about myself. Hopefully I'm strong enough not to let myself get to me. Or something like that.

Sort of. I know what my strengths and weaknesses are nowadays, and what I need to do to improve. Sometimes there are circumstances that can really try and hinder me, but I try to stand tall (moreover, I try to let God be strong in my weakness).
I believe I have a lot more self-esteem than I did in the past.

Well, I would have added a "sometimes" option, but I honestly made this as a parody to all the other "do you believe in..." threads. That said, there are some pretty good responses here! Myself, I'm on a roller coaster. And a big +1 to Jamesman's response.

Lately I have been believing in myself quite a bit. I owe that to the fact that I started taking Zoloft a few months back. When I used to have depression and anxiety issues, I feared the future so much that I convinced myself that no matter what direction I was heading, I told myself I was going fail.

I feel that I've managed to take control of my life, buttfucking it instead of being at the other end. So yes, I believe in my me and my buttfucking abilities.

Not all the time. It really depends on my mood. I've had some really bad stuff happen to me the past few years so that's not really helped. Believing in myself usually involves some kind of music related activity....music gives me confidence?
