This might be silly to do on a DT forum...
« on: March 05, 2010, 10:25:00 PM »
As dumb as it may be to compare DT's masterpiece with a lesser known band's masterpiece, I'd like to ask DTF to compare the two. Both are unbelievable albums. If you haven't heard this album, you must. It's a musical masterpiece. Seventh Wonder's Mercy Falls has to be in my top 5 albums of all time. I don't think there is a dull moment on that album. As much as DT is my favorite band, and SFAM is one of the greatest albums ever, there are a few (not a lot) moments that are just not that great. Which one do you like more DTF?

Can't really vote because I haven't heard one of them but SFAM is a kick-ass album!

Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

You guys should hear Mercy Falls, it's a great album. But it still has nothing on SFAM, for me.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

Well, SFAM is one of DT's weakest albums, and I haven't heard the other album. So I abstain. :P

I must admit, this was my first thought.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Sounds good!
 :tup

I'll listen to the rest of the album a little later. They give me a Symphony X vibe.
Partly because I'm completely unfamiliar with Symphony X.

Never heard of them till I just opened this thread. Currently listening to Welcome to Mercy Falls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwg58wfB798 and I gotta say despite the vocals just taking a touch to get used to I definitely like 'em better than JLB and their ability to abruptly change keys without hurting the flow of the song is very impressive. It's kinda like if Vanden Plas took some Metamucil.
