For the record, going to this festival is as much about getting the hell away from life for a couple days, sitting around in the open air, people watching, and having a good time. A couple years ago, we finally convinced my one buddy to come along. Within an hour, he had dubbed the event "A Festival of Rack" and questioned why he'd been so hesitant to go all these years.
Anyway, TAC, I know you follow a lot heavier 80's music, but I have yet to go to an M3 festival where I wasn't absolutely glad that I went. The bands always sound good and the only one I was ever REALLY close to disappointed with was the Queensryche appearance from shortly before they kicked Tate out. There were plenty of bands I wouldn't have expected to sounds so damned good that really killed it.
