Who here loves Endless Sacrifice?

On a whim I decided to listen to Train Of Thought again, and Endless Sacrifice blew me away.

And yet all I can think of is a large portion of this forum disliking it, and so wondered if anyone here really likes it.

Personally, I think it's shot to second favourite after ITNOG.

I  the song. It has everything I love about music: heavy riffs, instrumental madness, lots of energy, and some catchy hooks here and there.

LaBrie's performance is pretty outstanding too, i get shivers when he sings the "Isolaaaaaaaation" part

I do. Since the album first came out, it has actually been my favorite song on ToT, just above ItNoG. The build-up to the final verse and chorus is one of my favorite DT sections. I know people don't like the instrumental section, but I think that section fits the song better than a lot of other instrumental sections fit their respecitve songs.

A great song and a Top 15 DT song for me. The Budokan version is great. I love the Maiden part.

This song probably makes my DT top 10. To me, it's one of those definitive DT songs, in the vein of Metropolis Pt. 1, but more modern and metal. Again, that's just me.

Yes, i figured that, but since it was such a clever pun, I had to use it even though I don't agree with the sentiment.  So I put it into the mouths of the illusory "those."

Yeah this song is really really good.  I've seen it live twice now too and its awesome.  The chorus I think is one of DT's strongest.

I think this is the general reason why it's not so accepted. I think we can all admit that it has a badass chorus. The instrumental section just seems a little too long and unnecessary to me.
