So the beard has morphed into a form that includes an awesome stache?  That's what I'm seeing in the pic.

It seems that they're entering an area of extreme hazard. A zone of some sort. A dangerous one.

I hope he cut that nasty shit off before taping the season debut of That Metal Show.  Captain Caveman doesn't play guitar.   :lol

He didn't.  That pic was from that taping.

Yeah I'm honestly surprised so many people don't think it looks terrible......especially coupled with his receding hairline and developing bald spots.

I miss the way he looked during the Systematic Chaos era. Ever since, it's been a pattern of less hair and more beard.

Superficially speaking I think it looks terrible, but who cares. Won't affect the next album, unless it gets so long it hits the strings.

Beard muting
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

It might while he is having a sit down practice.  I know I had that problem with my long hair all the time.  Nothing like having to tie up two hands with playing and not being able to get the hair out of your eyes or off the strings without some violent head "banging".

:lol All the comments are about his beard.  I'm sure that Ernie Ball would rather them comment on their guitars. :lol
