I get that, as his style that was such a big part of Talking Heads was pretty quirky, but I was such a massive fan of Burning Down the House growing up that I can't help but want to check anything new he does at this juncture.  My brother and I saw him when he toured on that album he did with Brian Eno about 10 years ago and it was a fantastic show.  Tickets for this tour are not cheap, but I won't miss it.

They (he) lost me after Stop Making Sense.

The 80's albums after that weren't that great, but the hits were all still great - Road to Nowhere, And She Was and Wild Life.

Fear of Music and Remain in Light are both fantastic records.

Hits maybe, but I didn't think they were all that great so that's where I jumped off.
