Devastating news. One of my favorite directors. Dawn of the Dead is my favorite movie of all time.
:'( :'( :'(

I'm sure he'll be back.

Damn shame. Not only am I quite fond of Dawn, the man really wrote the book on zombies. A helluva lot of movies that followed owe their existence to him.
I'm sure he'll be back.
:lol

He was also one of my favorite directors. Day of the dead is my personal favorite of the original dead trilogy.
-
Everybody knows about the dead series, but Creepshow was awesome as well

I have forever wanted to dive into his Filmography, but never got around to it! This could be as good time as any.
R.I.P
Also R.I.P actor Martin Landau, who also passed today..

At 77 years old this shouldn't really come as a surprise, but it's still very sad news. RIP George.
The whole horror movie genre wouldn't be the same without him, the filmmakers and films that cite him or his movies as inspiration and influence must be countless.
